Johnson Controls recognized as world leader in addressing climate change
More than 6,000 companies submit annual climate disclosures to CDP for independent assessment against its scoring methodology. Johnson Controls is among 22% of corporations participating in CDP’s climate change program to be awarded a leadership level position, receiving an A- climate score.
According to CDP, “This excellent result indicates Johnson Controls International PLC has implemented a range of actions to manage climate change, both in its own operations and beyond.”
“Johnson Controls is committed to growing our company in a way that’s sustainable for our climate,” said Grady Crosby, VP Public Affairs and Chief Diversity Officer, Johnson Controls. “Our company vision is a safe, comfortable, and sustainable world - part of delivering on that is taking action on climate change.”
Competition for leadership level status is increasing. According to CDP, “Climate change is now a mainstream boardroom topic.” Of responding companies, 97% report that climate change is integrated into their business strategy and 96% of companies are now reporting engagement with policymakers on climate issues to encourage mitigation or adaption. Johnson Controls is proud to be named to the leadership level among our peers.
