Johnson Controls is certified as Caterpillar Gold Supplier
Manufacturer of Heliar® batteries is honored by the company since 2008
São Paulo, February 5, 2016 - For the third consecutive year, Johnson Controls was honored by Caterpillar certificate in the gold category. Each year, Caterpillar evaluates its global suppliers based on indices related to quality, delivery and ongoing development.
"Johnson Controls is our global partner and has a solid performance with respect to quality and delivery, highly valued factors for us. Every team is to be congratulated for the high level of operational excellence, "said Marcelo Oliveira, Caterpillar's process engineer during the awards ceremony. Since 2008, Johnson Controls is considered by Caterpillar as a supplier of excellence, having won the certificates in the categories bronze (2008-2011) and silver (2012). The gold certification was achieved for the first time in 2013.
Vice president and general manager Brazil and the Southern Cone of Johnson Controls, Paulo Santos was keen to stress the value of the effort of his team. "Having our work recognized by customers is always an honor. Surely this award is the result of effort and commitment of the entire Johnson Controls team in the search for the satisfaction of our customers," added Santos. The event that marked the delivery of the certificate took place on January 28 at the Sorocaba plant of Johnson Controls, attended by Valter Jovenazzo representing Caterpillar's purchasing department. Johnson Controls was also represented by Ronaldo Alves (Operations Director), Adriano Stefanini (Original Equipment Commercial Manager) and Marcelo Dias (quality manager and environment), and the production team responsible for Caterpillar products.
