Environmental Leadership Program (ELP)
The Environmental Leadership Program is Johnson Controls' global philanthropy program that focuses on the company’s commitment to environmental stewardship, leadership development, and diversity. The program began in 2006 in Johnson Controls' corporate headquarters city of Milwaukee, Wis. Since then, the program expanded to global locations including Mexico, Czech Republic, Germany and Slovakia. From 2006-2017 the program gave more than 5,000 youth worldwide the opportunity to perform more than 620,000 hours of service and education while gaining hands-on conservation experience. During the program, students developed leadership skills, a strong work ethic, and a personal sense of stewardship for the environment. Participants in the program completed projects that ranged from environmental education to conservation work in parks and natural areas.
STEM Leadership Program

Johnson Controls supports K-12 education in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). STEM fields are the cornerstone of our business.  The program provides opportunities for experiential learning and mentorship to help develop the skills that will enable students to be successful in the future.
