Scaling advanced semiconductor manufacturing with a large-scale cleanroom
Delivering a large-scale semiconductor cleanroom in 18 months
Impact Highlights
24,000 sqm cleanroom delivered for semiconductor manufacturing
Completed from blueprint to power-on in 18 months
Designed to comply with Singapore’s National Environment Agency (NEA) Minimum Energy Efficiency Stand
Delivering a highly controlled manufacturing environment at speed
To support advanced semiconductor manufacturing, the customer required a cleanroom capable of maintaining ultra-precise environmental conditions and exceptionally high reliability. Critical systems needed to withstand a two-second power dip, one of the most stringent requirements in Singapore, while meeting strict component and performance specifications.
In parallel, the customer had to ensure full compliance with Singapore’s National Environment Agency (NEA) Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards, all within an accelerated timeline for a greenfield facility.
An integrated approach to precision, resilience, and accelerated delivery
To deliver the required environmental stability and system resilience, the customer partnered with Johnson Controls to support engineering, integration, and execution of the cleanroom infrastructure.
Johnson Controls implemented a fully integrated HVAC and infrastructure approach to meet the cleanroom’s technical and operational demands, using modular construction methods, pre-engineered components, and unified project management to support delivery within the required timeframe.
A high-performance cleanroom delivered at scale and in compliance
Johnson Control’s delivered one of Singapore’s largest and most complex cleanroom facilities in just 18 months. The completed cleanroom meets extreme technical standards for semiconductor manufacturing, including precise environmental control and high-reliability performance.
The facility complies with Singapore’s NEA Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards and supports the customer’s role in strengthening Singapore’s position as a global hub for advanced manufacturing and innovation
