Johnson Controls recognized as a 2026 World’s Top Disability Inclusive Business
Johnson Controls was recognized as a World’s Top Disability Inclusive Business based on its performance on the Disability Index® by Disability: IN. This is the second consecutive year Johnson Controls has received this designation for U.S. operations, and the first year for Mexico corporate locations.
“The future of business will be defined by how well companies design for a broader range of people and experiences," said Jill Houghton, President & CEO, Disability:IN. "Accessibility is a catalyst for innovation. Companies using the Disability Index are applying that mindset to drive progress across their business."
This recognition highlights Johnson Controls commitment to developing inclusive workplaces to drive performance and measurable progress. Johnson Controls fosters rich, inclusive values through Business Resource Groups (BRGs) and accessibility initiatives, which create a safe environment where team members are respected, valued, heard and acknowledged. Among the company’s 11 global BRGs is UNlimited, a community for employees living with disabilities, caregivers, and their allies.
“Thank you to our colleagues who help make Johnson Controls a more inclusive, innovative and welcoming place to work,” said Marina Williams, Vice President of Engagement and Inclusion at Johnson Controls. “By embracing unique perspectives and capabilities, we strengthen how we solve problems, support one another and deliver for our customers.”
The Disability Index evaluates disability inclusion across multiple areas of business using a structured, data-driven methodology that enables consistent benchmarking across companies and industries. Companies scoring at the highest proficiency levels earn recognition as World’s Top Disability Inclusive Businesses, signaling leadership and progress to employees, customers, and partners.
