Developing an exciting hospitality complex called The Wings in Belgium also meant prioritizing comfort, well-being and sustainability for the facility. Using its Metasys building automation system, Johnson Controls helped create a building concept that provided the perfect balance of business and leisure—in a modern and sustainably advanced environment. This allowed The Wings to optimize building performance, mitigate risk and have sustainable operations.
When it was complete, The Wings became Europe’s first-ever building to be triple certified, earning BREEAM Excellent, WELL Gold, and DGNB Gold designations.
